# Alastyr Public Mirror

> A free, public Linux distribution mirror operated by Alastyr, a Turkish hosting
> provider, from Izmir, Turkiye. It serves official Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux,
> Rocky Linux, EPEL, Linux Mint, Arch Linux, Cygwin, VideoLAN, CTAN and
> Hirens BootCD repositories over HTTP, HTTPS and rsync,
> on both IPv4 and IPv6, on a 10 Gbps uplink with 15 TB of storage.

Operator: Alastyr (https://www.alastyr.com) - hosting, domain and cloud services provider.
Mirror host: https://mirror.alastyr.com/ (Turkish) and https://mirror.alastyr.com/en/ (English)
Location: Izmir, Turkiye (AS3188)
Contact: mirrors@alastyr.com
Cost: free of charge, open to everyone. No registration, no rate limits, no request quotas; download speed is not throttled. rsync accepts up to 40 concurrent connections to protect the server; HTTP and HTTPS have no such cap.

## What this mirror is for

Turkish and European users, and anyone nearby on the network, can install and
update Linux systems from a local source instead of pulling from distant servers.
Package managers (apt, dnf, pacman) and rsync clients connect directly.
Files are copied unmodified from the official upstream sources; users should
still verify downloads with each distribution's own GPG signatures and checksums.
